Rathgar designer Daniel Kearns cut his teeth with Giambattista Valli and held senior roles at McQueen and Galliano before taking the creative helm at David Beckham’s Kent & Curwen label, writes Elaine Prendeville

When Daniel Kearns attended Gonzaga College he was not, by his own admission, overly academic.

“But I got lucky,” he recalls. My art teacher Darragh O’Connell, who sadly passed away recently, took me under his wing. He set me projects each week, which propelled me into getting a place at NCAD. I owe a debt of gratitude to him.”
