Having previously been a bland hub for 18th and 21st birthday parties, this city-centre pub has undergone a radical transition. The presentation has shifted substantially to reflect a more cosy environment, albeit still with a substantial overflow area out back for functions. The location, on Middle Abbey Street, isn’t ideal for passing footfall, but with Wigwam and the Academy nearby, it has something to work off, along with pitching itself as a destination pub....
