Tom Bower’s own reputation goes before him. The veteran journalist specialises in taking down rich and powerful people, with a victim list that includes Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie, business tycoon Richard Branson and pop impresario Simon Cowell. Like the barrister he once was, he skilfully presents evidence to put his subjects in the worst light possible while downplaying anything that might tell in their favour.
