A pair of plays linked by one woman’s vision

Sarah Bacon has designed sets and costumes for countless groundbreaking productions. But her latest project for the Gate Theatre has proved the most radical experience yet. She talks to Jessie Collins about how a grand experiment has turned into a thrilling adventure
