To proponents of the natural wine movement, white wine is like white bread – a product where the best of the wheat has been removed. An ‘Orange’ wine is the wholewheat version of white wine. It is produced using natural ancient techniques. The grapes are left un-manipulated and in long skin contact with the white juice. This extracts tannin and gives the wine a deep amber or ‘orange’ colour.
