This wine is sourced in Arbois, the tenderloin of France’s Jura wine regions. The climate is close to Burgundy but with cooler evenings and lower general temperatures. Pinot Noir is grown but comes second to local indigenous grapes such as this trousseau, which has chenin blanc and pinot parentage. It is high in sugar and hardy, but produces a lighter, red-coloured wine echoing pinot noir.
