Of the half dozen top fine dining restaurants in Belfast, James Street South is one of the most consistent. The refined atmosphere is quiet but relaxed, and chef David Gillmore’s food is exceptionally good.

The absolute best of Irish produce is transformed into heavenly dishes: stone bass, John Dory and other fish are always glisteningly fresh. The pork and beef is from a variety of small producers from across Ireland.
