A €20,000 marketing and PR campaign is hoping to encourage tourists to stay overnight in Co Wicklow, instead of just visiting for a day trip.

The #WakeUpinWicklow campaign was launched by Wicklow County Tourism across both traditional and online media.

Local businesses will also work together to drive the campaign on the ground, according to Frederick Verdier of Wicklow County Tourism.
