Watchdog extends probe into Citywest Hotel buyout

The state’s competition authority has extended its examination of the mooted buyout deal at Citywest, the country’s biggest hotel.

Investor Tetrarch Capital is seeking to take full control of the four-star Dublin hotel, conference centre and golf course by buying out its joint venture partner Pimco. Together they acquired the hotel out of receivership for about €30 million in 2014.
