Vulture fund put Primark firm into receivership by mistake

Cerberus moved to appoint a receiver to Sizzles International Unlimited, but did so in error

9th April, 2017

US vulture fund Cerberus placed a Primark company into receivership last week in a case of “mistaken identity”.

An application was made on March 30 by Cerberus to appoint a receiver to Sizzles International Unlimited, previously Primark’s holding company.

A spokesperson for Primark said the application was submitted in error by a third party and the issue was rectified on Thursday evening.
