This government is unlike any that have gone before it, and must face challenges unlike any of those faced by its predecessors.

Some of these, like the housing crisis, are home-grown. Some, like Brexit, come from outside Irish borders. Some are generated by the nature of the minority government itself, relying as it does on the support of independent TDs and Fianna Fáil.
