Insight Renewables, a start-up born of a college research project, creates clean, renewable, smokeless bio-coal from woody biomass material.
Biomass covers pretty much any organic material, either living or dead, including woods, plants and grasses. As a fuel, these substances are carbon neutral, which means they absorb CO2 from the atmosphere and when they die, they release the CO2 back into the atmosphere.
