Biomass covers pretty much any organic material, either living or dead, including woods, plants and grasses. As a fuel, these substances are carbon neutral, which means they absorb CO2 from the atmosphere and when they die, they release the CO2 back into the atmosphere.

It is a natural carbon cycle, which means biomass is exempt from carbon taxes and can be used as a local energy source to support rural jobs – and it costs...
