With backing from John Malone’s millions, TV3 is now going after RTÉ.

The commercial broadcaster is launching a kids offering on 3E which will compete with RTÉ 2, freeing up the main TV3 channel to target the more mature audience that traditionally watches RTÉ One.

Three Kids will broadcast on 3e in the early mornings from the end of June, showing the Teletubbies, Barney, and a variety of other preschool shows.
