The launch of her first food stall at the Experience Japan Festival in Farmleigh House in Dublin last month marked the latest phase in Fiona Uyema’s quest to accustom the Irish palette to the Asian cuisine she has come to love.

Uyema established her Kildare-based food venture, Fused by Fiona Uyema, in Naas, Co Kildare, last September, bringing to market a range of three Japanese soy sauces with 100 stockists around the country.
