Turbine firm Optinergy buys rival in €10m deal

Deal will deliver €5m in extra revenue for Cavan firm

Irish wind farm maintenance expert Optinergy has closed a deal worth up to €10 million for its competitor, Lotus Energy Systems, in a deal that will form an Irish heavyweight to go toe-to-toe against international providers operating here.

While no price was disclosed, market sources indicated that industry standard revenue multiples would suggest a price of between €8 million and €10 million.
