Trustees want CRC to repay €5 million pension deficit

The Central Remedial Clinic’s pension deficit is running at €5 million, and trustees have written to the charity asking for the deficit to be repaid.

The disability charity terminated payments into the fund in May and staff last week voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action over the issue.

Mercers told the CRC in April that the deficit at the fund stood at €5.005 million, including a legally required risk reserve of €2.669...
