Toyota has expressed commitment to staying lean

Japanese car giant Toyota has found a quirky way to cut costs – shutting down two of the eight lifts at its Tokyo office.

“The key objective for the stoppage of elevators specifically is to raise awareness among employees, and to remind them of the commitment that Toyota has towards the idea of increasing competitiveness through staying lean and reducing wastage.”
