Tourism bounce to turn 2015 into record year for hospitality business

495 new hospitality startups established in the first five months of 2015

This year is on track to best the best for new hospitality business since 2000, according to new figures released by today.

In the five-month period between January 1 and May 31, 495 hospitality start-ups — which include hotels, B&Bs, pubs, cafes and restaurants — were established, marking a 9 per cent increase on 2014.
