Top bank executives paid nearly €2m each

Almost three dozen Irish-based bank executives were paid close to €2 million each in pay and bonuses.

The 2016 figures were disclosed last week by the European Banking Authority (EBA), which now regulates the biggest banks across Europe. The data collated was on domestic and foreign banks, insurance companies and asset management firms.
