A young Irish telemedicine company has lined up chunky investment to fuel its expansion plans, I hear. VideoDoc, which gives patients the option of an online consultation with their own GP, is about to seal a new finance deal of close to €1 million.

“We are in a funding round at the moment with people who bring international perspective to what we’re doing,” said company founder Mary O’Brien.
