Greencore chief executive Patrick Coveney described Freshtime, the British convenience food manufacturer it acquired last week for £56 million, as “an excellent strategic fit”. The most recent set of accounts for Freshtime, which date from last December, revealed that it had revenues of £66 million, profit before tax of £5.6 million, and gross assets of £22 million.
