Niall ODowd, founder of IrishCentral, has sold the site for $3 million to a consortium

I hear there are some interesting names involved in the recent acquisition of IrishCentral, the New York-based news and entertainment website founded by Niall O’Dowd.

O’Dowd, an influential figure in the Irish community in the US, has sold the site he established in 2009 for $3 million, although he will retain a small stake and continue to contribute to the site.
