1988: Bookmakers Stewart Kenny, David Power, and John Corcoran merge their operations to create Paddy Power.

1994: In its first major prank, the company offers punters 100,000-1 on Pope John Paul II being the next Glasgow Rangers signing.

December 2000: Power Leisure, parent company of Paddy Power PLC, lists on the London Stock Exchange and ISEQ. It also launches its website paddypower.com.
