The lowdown: directors’ compliance statements

25th September, 2016

The Companies Act 2014 (the act) places more responsibilities on the directors of Irish companies.

The act became effective on June 1, 2015, and has streamlined and modernised Irish company law. Much of the act became effective immediately.

One section that did not immediately commence was S 225 – Directors’ Compliance Statements, which became effective for financial periods commencing on June 1, 2015.
