Six months after expanding into the Dublin market, Belfast-based matchmaking business The Fine Dining Club has signed up more than 200 members in the south.

The company was set up seven years ago by founder Liz Doyle, who left behind a longstanding career in banking after returning to her native city.

The idea for the venture came about in 2018 after Doyle organised a dinner party in Deanes restaurant on Howard Street for friends and acquaintances.
