Winning consistently is not what UCD followers expect and it’s really awkward. Similarly, lengthy runs of defeats hurt too - and even more - but the norm, the sweet spot, is being run of the mill

The League of Ireland returned last week and, well, it wasn’t an ideal start for UCD. The Students went to the Brandywell and took a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Derry City. The Candystripes were expected to win but it was a rough return to the top flight for UCD.

While defeat is never welcome, there was some comfort for fans of the Students in that the early reality check didn’t get...
