Tesco encouraged by progress in challenging environment

Retail giant Tesco has reported an increase in sales for the second quarter, with the company saying in its latest trading update that it was encouraged by its progress.

“We have delivered a second quarter of positive like-for-like sales growth across all parts of the group, in what remains a challenging market with sustained deflation.”
