Tech firm to hire 30 staff after securing investors

Barricade Security Systems, an Irish tech company which has developed an early hacker warning product, is hiring 30 new staff after completing a $1.2 million (€1.05 million) fundraising round from venture capital and angel investors.

The Cork-based firm, founded by serial entrepreneur David Collier, has also just opened its first North American office in Austin, Texas. Collier, a data scientist and start-up veteran who sold his first business at age 16, already employs six people.
