The Revenue Commissioners are clamping down on the construction sector, with more frequent visits to building sites by the tax authority’s staff. The taxman is setting its sights on tax risks in the construction sector, and is increasing its tax compliance activity in the area, according to tax guidance notes just published.
A spokeswoman for the tax authority confirmed that Revenue was directing more attention to builders.
