Taxing times as PAYE enters a whole new era

In a little under 18 months, employers will provide Revenue with real-time data on workers and what they earn

With 18 months to go before the biggest shift in the PAYE system in decades, the taxman is stepping up his preparations, with a major information campaign for employers.

January 1, 2019 will mark the start of a new era for Ireland’s PAYE system. From that date onwards, employers will provide the Revenue Commissioners with real-time data on employees and what they earn.
