Section 481, the scheme that provides tax relief for film production, is expected to be overhauled following a review.

Tax relief for the production of films in Ireland has been given by way of a corporation tax credit since 2015, and prior to then was given by way of an income tax relief to individuals who invested in those films. Revenue and the Department of Culture, Heritage, and the Gaeltacht began reviewing Section 481 this year...
