Swiss Re report reveals that disasters cost close to $100 billion in 2015
Global economic losses from natural and man-made disasters cost $92 billion last year, down from $113 billion in 2014, according to a report published by Swiss reinsurer Swiss Re.
“Global insured losses from natural catastrophes and man-made disasters in 2015 were $37 billion, well-below the $62 billion average of the previous ten years.”
