Sport Ireland spent €90,000 on FOI advice

Sport Ireland has admitted it has spent €90,000 on legal advice in relation to dealing with Freedom of Information requests about the National Sports Campus Development Authority (NSCDA) between 2012 and today.

In response to a Dáil question from Fianna Fáil TD John McGuinness, Sports Ireland said in December 2015: “To date, the amount of taxpayer money spent by the NSCDA, now Sport Ireland, in relation to legal advice in relation to FOI requests is nil.”...
