Shake-up at Irish arm of betting giant Ladbrokes
Ladbrokes is drastically restructuring its Irish business in order to arrest a dramatic slide in profits in recent years, the company has told The Sunday Business Post.
The betting giant is also giving control back to the Irish operation of all Irish assets that had until now been managed through Britain.
“Under our previous retail managing director we had merged operations under Britain and Ireland,” said Ciaran O’Brien, head of corporate affairs with Ladbrokes in London.
While the retail network of shops had been managed through Ireland, ultimate control of Ladbrokes’ on-course operations had been managed through England....
