Ryanair pilots planning a two-day strike next week over a pay dispute are already “paid exceptionally well”, the airline’s chief people officer has said.

Eddie Wilson, who has been at the airline since 1997, has said that the collapse of mediation talks last week was designed to “to do maximum damage” to the airline on the Thursday and Friday before the British August bank holiday weekend.
