Expected to record a €20 million deficit in 2016, the state broadcaster is on the look out for sponsors

RTÉ’s financial troubles have been well documented at this point. The state broadcaster is expected to record a deficit of up to €20 million for 2016 due to several major events during the year, such as the general election and the 1916 Easter Rising centenary, and the unexpected shock caused by Brexit to the advertising market.
