R TÉ is making its biggest investment in drama in more than six years for the 2016/2017 season. So said acting managing director of RTÉ TV Dermot Horan at the state broadcaster’s new season launch last week. So it’s no surprise, given the money that RTÉ is pouring into new dramas, that it is hoping to make some back.
