Quirky fridge magnets are bringing a little slice of Ireland to foreign fields

Dubliner Patricia Pierce came up with the idea for her online venture Quirky Irish Icons after her nephew Adrian moved to Dubai four years ago. Unable to find gifts that would remind the 31-year-old of home, Pierce decided to take matters into her own hands.

She designed three fridge magnets for Adrian initially, one depicting the Poolbeg Chimneys in Dublin, another of a chicken fillet roll, and a third reading ‘Up the Dubs’.
