Dunnes Stores’ Northern operation made a loss of £5.13 million in 2016, compared to a profit of £13.2 million the year before. That came on foot of a drop in turnover from £127.5 million to £99.8 million in that period.
Dividends of £250.84 million were paid to ‘other group undertakings,’ the accounts note, dropping the accumulated profits from £333.9 million to £75.7 million.
