When it launched in 2015, Powerscourt promised the creation of 18 full-time jobs. Local business figures Gerry Ginty and Ashley Gardiner co-founded the business, but Slazenger family member Sarah Margaret is a director at the company. The business is reportedly based in a previously disused building which worked as the estate’s millhouse, and will be fed with raw materials from the estate.
