The Iona Institute, the Catholic advocacy group, turned a deficit of €71,622 last year into a surplus of €54,657.

The company also saw the value of its assets rise from €253,248 to €304,304, the accounts show.

The company’s income declined in the same period, from €355,437 to €273,042, which was partly down to the drop in donations related to the marriage equality referendum. Its overall donations dropped from €355,437 to €273,042.
