Profits jumped from €1.9 million to €4.4 million

Profits at pay-as-you-go electricity supplier Prepay power.ie more than doubled after the company increased revenues and customer numbers.

The company, headed by dotcom millionaire Andrew Collins, posted turnover of €78.4 million for 2014, up from €39 million for the year before, according to accounts filed in recent days.

Pre-tax profits jumped from €1.9 million to €4.4 million.
