Alltech, the animal nutrition company founded by Irish billionaire Pearse Lyons, has acquired 100 per cent of the shares of Canada’s Masterfeeds in a share purchase agreement with Ag Processing Inc (AGP), a large North American farmers’ cooperative.

Masterfeeds, a feed manufacturer with 18 mills and three retail stores, employs 500 people. Alltech declined to disclose the purchase price of Masterfeeds. The 13th acquisition by Alltech since 2011 has pushed its annual revenues...
