Paddy Power's Andy McCue will step down in April, following Betfair merger

Chief operating officer credited with success of expansion into Britain

“I feel now is the right time to pursue new opportunities and, in doing so, wish everyone in Paddy Power Betfair the very best for the future,” he added.

The €10 billion merger of the gambling industry big guns was finalised in February.

Paddy Power Betfair chief executive Breon Corcoran paid tribute to McCue saying that he had played a pivotal and hugely constructive role in the merger negotiations.
