Wild Oats founder Karen Cottier started making soaps as a hobby, selling initially to shops near her home in Lismore, Co Waterford.
“I had lived in Britain, working in marketing and then I did a degree in architectural conservation, but when we moved to Ireland in 2008, I think we ran over the Celtic Tiger on our way back because recession hit and I couldn’t find work.”
