OpenHydro is frontrunner for France’s €60 million tidal farm project

Irish-based marine engineering company OpenHydro is the French government’s first choice to provide turbines for a €60 million tidal energy farm in the English Channel, a French newspaper has reported.

The business daily La Tribune leaked the conclusions of a committee formed by France’s environmental agency ADEME to award a €120 million tender for two experimental tidal farms off its west coast.
