Finalisation set to fall to the incoming government

The Financial Services Ombudsman Ger Deering

The Financial Services Ombudsman Ger Deering will see his role expand later this month when he takes over the duties of the Pensions Ombudsman.

The expansion of Deering’s role marks the next step towards a planned merger of the two ombudsman’s offices, and comes on the retirement of the current Pensions Ombudsman Paul Kenny.
