A new alliance has been formed by nine Irish food producers to reduce the use of disposable plastic in the supply chain.

Plastics Action Alliance will be chaired by Aidan Cotter, former chief executive of Bord Bia, with the aim of reducing the use of single-use packaging in the supply chain of participating food companies and introducing more sustainable alternatives.
