Netflix users could be blocked for viewing restricted content infringement

Some Netflix users in Ireland have found ways to access content unavailable here, but the streaming service may be about to clamp down on that kind of activity

Irish users of online streaming service Netflix could be blocked if they attempt to circumvent geographic blocks on certain content.

Netflix makes certain television programmes and movies available in specific regions. Users of the Irish Netflix service looking to get around these blocks have used virtual private networks (VPNs) to access content in other regions such as the US.
