Micro Focus and Hewlett Packard Enterprise strike multibillion deal

British tech firm Micro Focus has agreed an $8.8 billion deal with Hewlett Packard Enterprise. The deal will see HPE’s non-core software assets merged into Micro Focus.

“The time is right for consolidation in the infrastructure software market and this proposed merger will create one of the leading players in this space.”
